Pond Tour - the fish

An amazing variety of fish in these ponds.    I recognized butterfly koi for the first time with their flowing fins.
The silver fish were incredibly shiny, they sparkled like real polished silver in the sun.


Did you know Koi like watermelon?


These fish were very skittish.  The owner did not hand feed them so that they would hide and were less likely to be eaten by heron.


These fish were very friendly, and were hand fed regularily.   This property had very large trees over the pond, and apparently the herons don't like to feel trapped under the trees and don't visit the pond.


My pond must have fish in it!
