Hey Ovas,
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but im looking for a auto timer for when im on vacation. If anyone has one for sale or knows of a good place to get one that would be cool.
Cheers
Matt
Canadian Tire or any hardware store should have them for $10-$20. Highly recommended even when not on vacation to regulate photo period of planted tanks. It really sucks when you forget to turn lights off and have a tank full of algae next day (speaking from experience).
The cheapest one I found is from IKEA, they sell a pack of 2.
Ok great, I will take a look at those places. I thought it may have to be bought for a aquarium store.
It's a little pricier but I use the heavy duty digital one that Home Depot sells. It has two grounded outlets, adjusts automatically for daylight savings, and has a up/down keys to program faster. The two grounded outlets can't be programmed individually but is useful to have if you decide to upgrade to T5HO lighting.
I can't find it on their CDN website but here is what it looks like and it's about $30.

Great, thanks for the link. I only have a small led light on my nano so that may be a little overkill lol.
Thanks for the help guys.
Here is a nice ground programmable timer from Amazon only $19.99 free shipping if you have prime.

I like the wifi timers. If the power goes out the timer resets to the correct time automatically. Also, I can turn the lights off or on or change the schedule when I'm away. I can also see on the app if the lights are switched on or off. I use one to control my CO2.

Beware of the cheap wifi controllers. I've had problems with those. Better to spend the extra and have the piece of mind.
