Hi all -

Has anyone found a cheaper source for the "spring clamps" that pinch the wire / cable used for suspending lights?

I have a set that came with an Aqua Medic light and I find them very useful for raising the lights during maintenance;

Take a look at the picture in this link (lower left):
http://www.aqua-medic.com/aquafit.shtml

The piece I'm looking for is on the lower left (wire pass through, squeeze to open the hole, release and it pinches the wire). Theses kits sell for $30 from aquarium retailers - I'd like to use them in a couple of tanks, and therefore seeing if there is a cheaper possibility...

So far I've checked mcmaster.com

In our office, our fluorescent lights are suspended using them.  This makes me think a general lighting store may carry them.

Ikea?  Don't they hang glass shelves and the likes using that kind of hardware too?

Good tips - I'll look around and report back if I find anything.
