Author's Award

Since the topic was brought up at lsat night's meeting, I did some research on the CAOAC website, and found that there is an Author's Award that is separate from the Breeder's Awards. To obtain the Author's Award,
"Over a period of at least 5 years, the applicant must have published at least 10 articles in local Club/Society newsletters as well as at least two reprints (two different articles) in other Club/Society newsletters, commercial publications etc ..." or "The applicant must have been the Club/Society Editor for at least 5 years and have published a minimum of 5 articles during that period." (CAOAC website, obtained May 31, 2005) There is then an advanced author's award with even more requirements. There are also several other awards, such as Service Award, Science Award, and Hobbyist of the Year. There are also points for plant growers and competitions.
