I'd just like to let the planted tank people that the AI Prime Freshwater is an excellent LED for planted tanks. I've bought 2 for my 90 gallon and am more than pleased with how it works. I'm so impressed that I've bought 4 more for my 300. Of note is the control over the different colours. The red is easy to increase and makes the Dutch style colouring very easy.
But what is more impressive is that they are presently available from J&L in Vancouver for $250 cdn. Shipping is free. They have been selling for $299 US on US sites. This makes them cheaper to buy in Canada than in the US with no duty issues. They come in white and black.

Reef Supplies in Montreal have it for the same price and they usually have items at my door the next day. :-)
I saw these in person at wolfiewill's and can vouch they are great little units. You can control the spectrum, ramp up & down, and overall intensity with your smart phone or ipad.
I did find this thread for the saltwater version. Assuming they're the same, those values are actually quite good for plants too. That would be considered high light for sure.

You're right. They do have them at Reef Supply. I'd have bought them there if I'd known. They ship to Ottawa in 48 hours usually, sometimes I get product from them overnight without special shipping. And the price is the same. I had asked Ray at Reed supply to let me know when he got them but I guess he forgot. He's very busy. I visited his shop before Christmas and I was very impressed with the business, and with Ray. Great guy. This is even better.
