Weather good for ordering plants?

I'm thinking of ordering some plants online, probably from somewhere around Toronto, since that seems to be where most things are. I've never ordered plants online before. Is now a good time to order plants? Would it be too cold outside?

Also, any suggestions on a good place to order from?

Hi Martin, the key is going to be if the supplier is willing to ship with appropriate insulation packaging and heat packs.
Our local LFS gets plant shipments throughout the colder season , so it can be done.
Have you consider checking with your local petshops about the possibility of getting the plants you desire?
I know Critter Jungle, LA Niche et Moi and Big Als carry a good selection of plants.
