New Fry ISO tank or Drop in Floating Nursery?

A friend of mine has a Cichilid with a Cross Breed Babies.  He wants to keep them however should he set up an isolation tank or just drop in one of those floating nursery things?  

He has an extra tank and he currently runs two filters right now.  I just got him to buy an Eheim so It fully hasn't' set up the bio filtration yet (1 week old) but the old filter is fine and can be moved to the iso tank.  His water for the ISO tank can be RO filtered as I have the system for my Salt Water tank.

Just looking for your opinions on what is best and safest for his new fry.

In this past my friend has lost his fry as his tank mates are aggressive.
