!!! Call for Volunteers !!!

OVAS is holding our annual 'Membership Drive' on Aug. 30th. There are locations 2 locations: Walmart South Keys & La Niche Gatineau.

You'd be at one of these locations for the day or as long as you can. You should have your own chair though. We need lots of volunteers just in case some thing crops up and someone has to cancel.

This is a great way to get involved in your club and give back. Also get to meet lots of fishy folks. If your not able to volunteer please drop by to support OVAS and visit those at the booth. Pick them up a Timmie's or whatever but no beer... LOL Come by to updateyour membership or purchase one. There prize ballots for those purchasing a membership.

You should have your own chair though. Make the booth exciting (but tasteful) decorate to attract every bodies attention. Who knows maybe there will be a prize for best booth... i will volunteer to sell the 2008-2009 membership at Big Al's east again , last year i had the honour of doing this with KLKelly & hope to have the same luck this year  , it was a joy to sell membership to renewing members & new incoming members.

We want at least 3 there. It gets busy. When members are chatting to potential new members folks walk by without learning about the club. The 3rd person can help also for bathroom breaks... Oh Chris Timmies is very close so coffee runs will be required... a 3rd person is needed for sure!  We want to have a couple others maybe do 1/2 shifts to relieve someone. Be great to have 2 execs. there entire shift... hint-hint

There is tons of free parking and excellent bus service via transitway. Plus if others are going there it can likely be co-ordinated for car pooling. It will be a busy spot so I'd like to have as many people as I can get for full shifts or part shifts.
