Hi everyone,
I have been away from the hobby for a long time. I decided to setup a small goldfish tank for my son. I used to be a saltwater guy so this freshwater stuff is fairly new to me. Here is what I currently have.
- 25 gal tank
- stock hood with Aqua glo bulb
- 70 aquaclear
- plain black gravel
- 2 common feeder goldfish
- Java fern, something sword and the one in the middle I am not sure what it is.
I want to keep this setup simple with low light plants. But I want to upgrade to a 24 inch LED light fixture. Any recommendations ?
It feels good to be back in the hobby after so many years.
Could anyone help me to ID the middle plant ?
Below are what I think is the best bang for your buck on the market for low light or cichlid tanks. The second link is the flexible version that can be cut to size and stuck to your old fluorescent hood. They are only $80.00 at Big Al's.

Thanks for the links. I really like that second link. Didn't know it existed. I will have a look. Would you happen to know what that middle plant is ?

Your pic doesn't show up.
My apologies does it work now ?
Yep. It may be Green Cabomba.
Sure does look like that plant. Looks like it need medium lights. The LED upgrade might not be a bad idea.
