Hey

Well I finally had the chance to make the road trip down to Toronto yesterday to pick up my colony of Tropheus Moori Kasanga, along with MArx colony of Tropheus Moori Chaitika for him.  They all arrived back home safe and sound and have been in their new surroundings since last night and seem to be quite happy, chasing one another all over the tank.  You can really pick out the dominant male in the tank as well with his chasing and colouration standing out the most.

These guy's aren't the easiest to photograph but I have taken some quick shots for everyone to see them!

Actually the Kasanga are known as "Red Rainbow" not "Blue Rainbow".  :)

It's the Tropheus Moori Chaitika who is often called the Blue Rainbow, not the Kasanga.

That's what happen with common names: So your T.m. (Kasanga) are called Red Rainbow and sometime Blue Blaze. This is very useful at auction when the seller can't have more than 3 lots of the same specie.

It's too big to display automatically.  You'll have to click on the "download" link at the far right (you'll have to scroll).

You know...I would use it as a background if you didn't cheat when you took pictures and bump up the ISO to get a quciker shutter speed and add all that noise in there. HA!

Just a quick lesson... When taking a picture in close range (so you can see the eye of your fish) depth of field becomes much more important. When using a flash, the synchronization will be 1/125 or 1/60 sec but the actual speed is of the flash, 1/400 to 1/2000 sec and even more on certain automatic flash. So for depth of field you would close down the lens and you could help the exposure by bumping the ISO. I usually keep mine to 200... I would like to know what you have read as an ISO on this picture. There should not be any noise before 800 ISO with these cameras. What you could have seen is the result of high compression, 100k file from an original 17MB.
For obvious noise... look into your black to find weird out of place pixels of reds greens and blues.
