My new koi

If you've seen the pictures in my other post, you'll know I couldn't walk away empty handed!  We took 45 minutes, but finally narrowed the choices down to 3 of the 6-8 inch koi at Shekinah.  All the fish were beautiful, but we were looking for a unique pattern/type that we have never seen anywhere.  They put fish in a smaller holding tub for you to choose, so here was our final 3 to decide between.  What fish is your favourite?  I'll tell you what one we bought tomorrow night   Dan, if you read this, no telling!!!

I pick the orange and white one but I bet you bought the white one with gold on it's back more interesting.

I LOVE all three of them!!!!  Especially the one on the right though (facing left).

Well, it has been an awful morning.  Since my pond is covered well to prevent raccoons from getting in, there is an EXTREMELY small chance that a fish can jump out.   Of all fish to decide to jump and coincidentally find one of those small gaps in the cover, guess what one I found on the grass this morning?

What a perfect fish to have lost and what a lot of money.  It went in the pond finally after dark last night so I only got to watch it for about 20 minutes via a flashlight

wow that sucks! Sorry to hear that. I would of picked the red/white too, it is/was a very nice looking fish!

Thanks guys.  I have NEVER gotten so upset about loosing a fish.  When I found it I even threw it in a bucket of water, opening and closing the gills, hoping it would be like resuscitation.  Not so. 

If only I had gotten up an hour earlier.  It must have just dies when I found it.

You know, the only place I could loose that amount of money for nothing is the casino...I'm still baffled at how it happened.  We're designing a raccoon proof, jumping fish proof solution after the meeting tonight.
