As I wrote earlier, I am setting up a new nano tank (20 litre, 6 gallon) and I would like to try a LED lamp. I have been going around in DIY stores but they mostly have 'ambiance' lighting and that is too yellow for my taste.

Now I have been searching in internet and have come across LED flood lights that come in 10,000 K (love the crisp look it gives your tank!) and range from 10W up to 100W. Needless to say that for a tank this size I am thinking to get a 10W only.

I would like to know whether anybody has any experience with lamps like these and/or can comment on the specifications. There are 2 possible models I have in mind:

The disadvantage of the first is that it doesn't have a bracket. There are similar lights with a bracket but only day light.

This one is also available in day light (6500 K).

LED is the way to go. If it specifications that you are looking for I'd recommend not shopping by price. Go for a quality lamp that will meet your current and future requirements.
If you want to go the full DIY route there is the option of buying name brand emitters, mounting them on a heat sink and wiring a power supply. It's a fun project, extremely customizable  you'll have a basic knowledge of electronics when you're done.

I've seen an ebay LED light and it was rock bottom low quality emitter. The light in the ebay link would be a decent accent light. There is always Costco for LED flood lamps. The one I bought is very crisp but it's specs and colour temp isn't labelled. You can use a clamp lamp to mount the bulbs. Or check out a hardware store and make a nice looking hanging shroud.
