My father's passing

Just wanted to let everyone know that my wife Sylvie (SlyAngel) and I have been very pre-occupied lately due to my father's sudden hospitalization for cardiac arrest last week, and subsequently his passing away yesterday at a relatively young and active 77 years of age.

Some of you may have met him last year when he came to AquaMania - some remarked how much I look like him.

My father, Benoit Martin, meant a lot to us - he was a role model, a true leader. He was a past President of the Caisses Populaires, a Board Chair for TV Ontario and SODAD insurance, Treasurer and Secretary of his condo association, and Treasurer for his church parish among many other roles he assumed over his lifetime. His dedication as a volunteer for his community was an inspiration for many, and especially me - hence my involvement with OVAS.
