Lately my snails keep on dying! My corals are thriving with excellent growth and polyp extension and the crabs are doing great also.  My huge turbos are doing well also.  Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

How are your water parameters?  I'm wondering if maybe your nitrates are spiking enough to take out the smaller snails, but not enough to get the big ones yet.

pest maybe?  something that was small which is now bigger?

blennies can develop a taste...

evil crabs/shrimp (lobsters)

some snails (i wish i could remember names) are a threat to others... little white ones that live in your sand... i think...

I caught a blue leg hermit killing and eating snails.
Theory is they want the shell as they get bigger.
Do you have hermits, and spare larger shells in there?

az
