How big are YOUR turbo snails??

I have 4 turbo snails in my tank right now.  One has been through Fish-ma-geddon with my clownfish and I've had him for about 6 years now.  I rarely see him, except at night if he happens to decide to take a run along the front of my tank.

Usually my turbos are on the back wall, which magnifies them A LOT and I'm always surprised at the size they appear.

Well, last night, Gary (the old guy) was on the front glass... I didn't have a tape measure handy, but I did have my iPhone which I used as a reference for his size.  From his mouth to "tail?", he was exactly the width across the top of my iPhone... so ~ 2 1/2".  His shell is about the size of a golf ball.  His mouth was about the size of the tip of my pinky...

Not bad, considering 6 years ago when I got him from Marinescape (with 3 others), he was not even 1" long...

I'm thinking of organizing snail fights after seeing this guy up close.

I'll have to start a 2nd weight class for my spiky Astrea snails too!
