Watchman Goby / Shrimp question

I added a watchman goby and shrimp to my aquarium at the weekend.

The shrimp promptly dig a hole under a rock and has not been seen since.

The goby seems to just hide in a corner, avoiding the rest of the fish which are larger.

Will they pair up again / become active? The goby doesn't seem to move much at all.

Any thoughts?

If they are the right goby/shrimp match they will eventually pair up. My Yasha Haze and Randall's pistol shrimp went their seperate ways when introduced to the tank but found each other within a couple of days and are now inseperable.
