 lotus flower , I was wondering if anyone has over winter them, outside in there pond.

I have an empress lotus, which I stick in the basement each winter. It has done fine for the last few years, but this year it has not shown any growth.

There is one pond in Kanata, that I know of, that has a large lotus which they leave out for the winter; they just sink it into the deep part of the pond in the fall. They should survive in our zone as long as the tubers don't freeze.

I bought mine from Make-It-Green Nursery in Kanata. They do not have any currently in stock.
