spam from ovas??

hi, not sure if this is something OVAS can help out with, but this morning i got an email claiming to be a PM notification called 'IMPORTANT NEWS AND INFORMATION!' from jessicah at , which contained some pretty explicit porn links.

i'm not particularly offended by the links, but annoyed that someone appears to be using the OVAS site to pass on this kind of stuff..  if it's a mistake by someone on the site, ok it's a once-off, but has anyone else had a spam-attack? also i think that plenty of people who use the forum may have objections if this happens again, especially if they have kids.

any suggestions as to whether anythign can be done to prevent it from happening again?

Sorry about that, the offending poster is now gone, please consider this an anomoly, as steps are being taken to protect the site from such people.

The PMs from the said "user" (a spam bot in reality) have been deleted from the system.

The system, however, had already sent out PM notifications to the users, and the notification automatically includes the content of the PM in question
