Canopy finally installed

Well, after much procrastination on my part, I finally got the canopy my uncle built for me painted and installed today.  It looks really sharp and I cannot thank my uncle enough!

I had to make some modification to the initial design once I got it home.  I had a 2" collar cut around the bottom.  I then used a piano hinge to attach the collar to the rest of the canopy to allow the whole top to hinge open (you can see this in the open canopy picture).  We also put in a feeding door which means I do not have to open the whole thing to feed the fish - very cool!.

Right now I have a 65w power compact fluorescent fixture in there - I mounted the whole thing as I did not want to break it into parts in case I did not like the look.  I definitely need a new bulb as it is making things appear green but I am happy.
