Hello there!!!!!!! as a new salt water keeper.or moreless who is about to start. One question to anybody? am I to keep my aquarium lights for the corals on all day or what.  is there a cheaper way to start my system with out having to spend lots of money on mainly new equipment..any suggestions and items for sale at good prices will be greatly appreciated. :wink:

Check the forum for my previous post on this subject. Start reading RECENT books on the subject NOW.

Create a normal day/night cycle for your tank using a timer. Ensure that you have enough (& right kind of) light for the corals which you wish to keep. I would advise against the purchase of any corals until the tank has aged for 90 days & all of your water parametes have been tested. Otherwise, you may find  replacing coral livestock to be a rather expensive proposition. Go slow!
