Hi everyone,

I bought these in early August, they told me they were baby black pagoda snails, but not convinced as I can't find ANY info online on black ones.

They also do not look like black devils, and cannot be trumpet snails because I still only have 2, lol

Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Taliekat,

You're right they don't look like pagoda snails at all (no spikes).

It's difficult to tell what the first snail is, another photo may help. It could be a larger bladder snail based on the shape. They can turn black if you are using a dark soil/ bioactive substrate.
The second photo is a zebra nerite snail. One of the best algae eaters. These won't reproduce in the freshwater aquarium, however you may find singular white eggs scattered everywhere as they still lay their eggs.
