I looks super bleached to me.

The only coral that is white when its healthy is a Arcohelia Rediviva.

Definately bleached IMO

Adjust it to light slowly or the shock can do some serious damage.

And I would feed too.

and what is it, gonio?

It does kinda look like a goniapora... hard to say for absolute sure but that would be my guess too.

Is there part of the skeleton where it has partially receeded either recently or a long time ago?

they come in crazy colors these days reefroids/spirulina brine/oceanplankton everything helps high to moderate light.

Bleached goniopora or unhealthy goniopora are widely considered to be impossible to ID, even with a high def picture so until you are able to get this piece healthy again it will be very difficult if not impossible to ID what type of Goniopora you have.

Typically red goniopora are easier to keep alive, and green ones (usually goniopra stokesi) are more difficult.
Its a complete guess, but I dont think you have a red variety based on the hint of color in the mouth.
Its really tought to say though... the color in the center of the mouth might even be a blue color... which means it could be like this goniopora that we frag and grow out:
(https://www.ovas.ca/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Freefwholesale.com%2Fgallery%2Fmain.php%3Fg2_view%3Dcore.DownloadItem%26amp%3Bg2_itemId%3D7436%26amp%3Bg2_serialNumber%3D4&hash=f2081266777ada88c120ab58c88be0453956d349)

Green goni prefer lower lighting as opposed to the red goniapora which can tollerate higher lighting.
I keep my red goniopra under LED's but they do well under large T5 lights and halides as well.

And all goni will eat pretty much any type of artificial zooplankton (most people tend to prefer a blend of several different foods), not phyto plankton based foods.

Aww.. I liked my sea horse pic.   ;D

Real nice coral, though!  I'd love to have something that 'different' in my tank.  Everything I have is the same beige toned with greenish tips...  Nice find!

we have 10+ kinds of goniopora and some are super bright dosent mean they are bleached(always). any coral will change color according to the lights and parameters, ultra bright dosent mean bleached. I see it being a ultra green gonio that will get greener over time, or could get brighter...depending on the light, whatever it is it will take time to change.
