6500k light

what is your experience with 6500 k lighting. I have a 36 gallon and i put 2 actinic t5 24 inch bulbs on it with my 75 w 1400k mh bulb. i found it wasnt bright enough so i was talked into putting a 6500k bulb on instead of 10k  it certainly made it brighter but is it good for a reef tank??? I now have a 6500k bulb with one actinic and changes to a 20k mh bulb

I use 6500 k cfl, for my sump. Basically it's just
artificial sunlight.
I use 12000 k actinic whites by UV
on the tank. Nice combo.
How old is your 10000k bulb?
