my tank is approx. 3 months old have
Have 2 clowns and royal gamma and one dead bangi cardinal
clean up crew is very active with some snails and craps ( no sure of the exact number but more that 15 or so)
take is 65 gal with 5 gal refug.
70 lbs live rock
temp was 79
nitrate and amm were at zero
it appears that he got stuck by the heater
does this make sense
seemed to be doing all right
I added the royal gamma and cardinal last tue
anyone have any thoughts
thanks
What are you feeding? Are you sure the cardinal was eating?
Did you start the tank with cured live rock?
How often and how many gallons are your water changes? What test kits are you using?
Could also just be the stress from shipping took its toll.
there is about 75 lbs live rock
I test for nitrates amm and cal
water change about 5 gal per week
the fish was eating frozen brine shrimp
maybe it was just stressed
he ate for about 5 days
then the day before he died he did not eat
was wondering if there is maybe too much flow in tank- maybe slow swimmer and was stressed
or just luck of the draw
I would agree with both the possibility of the flow or luck of the draw. They dont apear to like too strong of a flow. I have also read lots about people having them die a few weeks in due to poor sucess rate during transfers. Ive had mine for about 2 months and he lived through a ich outbreak while in quarentine and survived ttm. Some fish especially wild caught just dont fair as well i guess. Best of luck with your future fish. Always sad to loose one
