Title: 90 gallon build
Post by: A6tiger on September 11, 2011, 08:27:45 PM
hey all after closing all my SW tanks i'm thinking of going back to freshwater. the tank is a 90 gallon but the real question i want o ask is i am thinking of using my 55 gal sump as the filter would put sponges then bioballs then the prefilter ceramic things then biomedia pellets  and maybe floss to finish it before returing into the tank. i was thinking of making the return under the gravel i could use i flexible pipe twist it around on the bottom with hole in it to dristibute the flow everywhere...is this a good idea??or i should just have the pump return at the top of the top just as a canister??

I have plumbing coming through the bottom of my 120g in both corners and if I could go back and do it again I would cap the holes and run over the top of the tank. The filters have to overcome allot of downforce from the water, and a loose fitting damaged my hardwood floors.
