Fishless cycle from scratch

Thanks wolfiewill. It's not the ADA Amazonia but a version called LAMBO a line from Netlea that I picked up from aqua inspiration.

The netlea lambo soil should leach just as much ammonia, if not more, than ADA Amazonia. This is great for a fishless cycle. I just restarted a 125g with all Amazonia and it just began to show some nitrites today after two & half weeks of only ammonia.

Certainly seems to leach NH4. Check out these comments on the GTA forum, the responses are all over the map though; does this suggest a product quality problem?
