I had purchased a bag with a couple dozen fry in it from a vendor named Williamson.     The bag contained Metriaclima Estherae F1..........On the menu, it listed that there was "Blue Males".    Would these be "Colbalt Blue"?  Or would they have a orange dorsal fin combined with the light blue body?  Or maybe a fish that is blue blotched?

That would be Art Williamson.  Send "artw" a PM on here, thats him!  8)

PM Art and he will confirm this but the males are also Estherae.  In the wild most all of the males are blue but in captivity many of the males are orange.  There are some orange males and blotched or marmalade variations but the blue is quite beautiful and is generally more desired by aquariests.  They are all the same species.

ideally you should have at that small size the dark purple/blue/grey fry would be males, if you look close you will see some with lighter freckles those are ob females, and then the orange ones are also females

Your male Esterae should end up looking like my blue guy in this picture
