Do we or do we not have to add Amino Acids to our Reef Tanks

I dose once a week with half the recommended dosage of Seachem Aquavitro Fuel, which is a supplement with amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins etc...and I can tell the difference in my LPS. 

The only problem I find with it is at full dose it promotes the algerons :(

Not unusual with some supplements that when using full dosages or dosages too often that nutrient levels tend to go up. Start with a lower dose is my suggestion and gradually build it up but if your nutrients rise, go back to a lower dose
