thanks! but i kinda like to keep the back visible as to when i do the maintenance i would be able to check the corners at the back to make sure fish waste and dead plants arent left alone in the hiding spots behind the malaysian drift woods. but maybe i will put a background if i dont feel lazy  ;D

The stump on your 35 gal is awsome! I like the moss you have growing on top of it...looks cool.

blueknight0303

thanks! it looked ugly for the first 3 months. takes alot of trimming too! all it takes is just a small java moss rhizome to attach itself on the piece then trim everything else and let it grow until it surrounds the whole area.

Nice tanks. I would create a separate thread for each build. On your 10g, what kind of substrate are you using there? Is it stratum or AS?
Eric...
125g, 32g, 7g

Looks like you managed to plant some HC in the stratum. That's not always easy.

nope! i have to put a weight ontop of them for the first few months... not weeks but months.. and sometimes my oto cats try to squeeze under the HC and ends up uprooting them -_-

Dan

What type of drift wood is that in your new 10G and were did ou get it? I like the paleness of it!

Does stratum keep your PH low?

blueknight0303

The one that i just recently? its a fake driftwood from petsmart.

but the old 10g has 3 small malasyan driftwood combined with coral rock pieces to balance the ph.

This is just the regular stratum by fluval and it doesnt keep my ph low. its because of the Co2 that makes my go down.
