Aquaponics

Hi. I am looking to convert my hydroponics system to aquaponics. I am wondering if anyone here has some experience. My grow area is 2x3 feet and I was thinking of buying a 55 gallon tank and just fill it with guppies (unless my children want to run the aquarium side, I am happy with a colorful hardy fish).
