Title: Looking for a way to divide my 75g tank.
Post by: Amsterdom on November 04, 2017, 12:41:38 AM
So I've got two Red Devil cichlids, which if you don't already know are super murderers.

One is currently in the 75, while the other is in his own 55.

I want to put them both in the 75, but I need something that can separate the two sides.

I'm mostly looking for a place that sells this stuff: (https://www.ovas.ca/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F0.rc.xiniu.com%2Fg1%2FM00%2F13%2F96%2FCgAGS1cZnTSADwnUAAPL8tLCjAk035.jpg&hash=283a7f9d7d8d912b75ab479280385618772a3b7e) But Google hasn't been super helpful.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Do you know what they call it? I haven't been able to find it on any of their websites.

Wow, I never would have guess that.

The best I came up with was 'rigid plastic grid/grate'

Thank you!!

I tried the egg crate and found it to be week in build and didn't find the suction cups fit well so i went with the Plexiglass and drilled a bunch of holes with a bit for plexiglass and it work like a charm a little more work and it cost a bit more but you get a much better product in the end and it looks much nicer as well. Just make sure you drill the holes very slow or it will crack.

The egg crate worked fine for me until a water change brought the level a bit too high, causing the male to hop over and try to hang out with the 13 inch female... He dead.
