Hello,

Anyone know where it would be possible to find this type of snail in Ottawa?  It is supposedly really good at cleaning out green spot algae and other types of algae that are hard to get rid of, plus it doesn't reproduce in fresh water.  Picture here.

I'd like to find those too.
I think Aquabotanic.com has them but they are in the us.

They are apparently known as Zebra snail.  I went to the Big Al's in Kanata today, and they are going to order some in for me (the guy had never heard of them).   I also went to Big Al's East later today, and they actually had a few, scattered in a few different tanks, but they didn't seem in terribly good shape.  I bought two there and will see what happens until I can get more.   :o

I have two which I bought at Big Al's Kanata on two different occassions over the past six months.  They almost always have plenty in stock at both locations.  Haven't seen them anywhere else in Ottawa though.
