Title: How to prevent unwanted breeding
Post by: Caitiepi on October 25, 2017, 04:33:19 PM
Hey all!

I have a pair of green severums that have started mating every other week, and I was wondering if there is a way to discourage this without having to get rid of one of them? Would changing the tank temp slightly make a difference? I'm not worried about the babies- they all get eaten pretty quickly (usually before they even make it to the free swimming stage) but the two severums disrupt the entire tank guarding their eggs and my other cichlids are getting a bit banged up. Any suggestions would be most welcome!!

Thanks in advance!
