I've purchased a very large ceramic pot to use as an indoor water feature/pond.  There are many articles about how to fill in the hole and seal the inside,  has anyone successfully done this before?  One article used plumber epoxy -> is that toxic to fish ?

If you put a rubber liner inside the pot, it won't matter what you use to seal it - or if you even seal it at all.

Possible solutions:

1) A big cork (edit: or try wine making supplies for one-holed rubber stopper and use a piece of wooden dowling to plug the hole in the stopper)
2) A rubber liner
3) Plumbers epoxy - Home Depot - Oatey Epoxy Putty - I've had no problem using it in marine tanks
5) A flat rock sealed in place over the hole with lots of normal silicone.

etc.
