Title: Q: green stuff?
Post by: murgus on August 30, 2006, 09:39:10 PM
Warning, warning, incoming newb question ::)

I have some "green stuff" appearing on my rock - is it some kind of algae?  If it is algae, what can I get to take care of it?

I haven't been able to get a good pic of it.

Thanks,
Andrew

My guess would be cyanobacteria? Does it look like  a film?

I wouldn't describe it as a film no.  Although I wouldn't rule out that it might become like one, it seems to be in the its early stages.

Thanks,
Andrew

That would be cool - there is a lot of this kind of stuff showing up in the tank lately!
