i have tried several types of food, and he is refusing to take them,
he used to gobble up frozen brine shrimp and now he's snubbing that too.
i think he's angry at me, it must be somthing i said,
tank parameters are good, its a small tank so nitrogen levels are allways apparent but only ever just barely, ammonia is zero ph is good etc
thoughts?
ryan
try mysis shrimp, dip it in garlic, what kinda blenny?
hey........
don't mean to spoil your fun!!!.......But how long have you had it?
blennies are very picky eaters.and in fact most of them die
with in six months......
I had 1 and did not make it due to lack of food......
he was fine at first always eating, but he depleted the tank of
pods and organisms.........he unfortunately starved to death
But that was my case ........might not be yours however...
anyways keep us posted on his eating habits. :-\ :-\
I have a clown goby who refused to eat at first also. Once he got settled he ate mysis, and now eats cyclopeeze.
good info
thanks,
will try mysis again i only tried it a couple days,
its a scooter blenny
garlic what?
you could also try brine if you have it, but it won't fatten them up in the long haul, mysis is better
yt, my lawnmower died too, we bought it arnd the same time i think, lack of algae in my case i think!
The guy you see in my avatar is a omnivore. He will take any type of food but he only eats when he feels secure enough to come off the rocks to get it. When I first got him I had to put the food in the tank and back off to let him eat in peace. Now that he trusts me I can watch him eat but if anything else comes in the room he's back in hiding with a flick of his tail!
Is his gut full looking? They seem to have a very short gut area and if he has been eating pods he should not have shruken sides.
yeah, he's a bit peckish looking,
he seemes to pick at the mysisébrine shrimp i put in the tank but he still isn't eating much :S
