Hi,
all the books and stores I go to tell me I need lots of turbulance to make sure the anemonies get proper feeding.
I got 3 powerheads in there turning the water over 10 times an hour.
my question is, whats the best way to make as much turbulance ?
I also saw these nice oscillating powerheads like the "power sweep 228" . Are they any good ? ? they go for 11$ on ebay.
thx !
here is a pic of what I got soo far.
I also now have some aragonite and better fluorescents.
if you look closely, you see i'm missing the trim on the bottom of the glass. anybody know where I can find this.
so far, I searched most hardware stores.. nope
Oh, and do not worry, I was only cleaning the outside with the windex.... :P

Don't waste your money on the PowerSweep
I have. They're weak and gimmicky. The PHs you've got should be fine. Hook 'em up to a wavemaker if you want to get fancy. I ran my 55 reef for 3 yrs w/ nothing but 3 PHs and a hang-on skimmer. Never had any detectable nitrates; my corals all did very well. Keep the fish numbers low and load in the LR.
k... thats what I thaught..
all PH's I see in salt water tanks seem to be incrusted with calcium and other deposits. The mechanism would probably jam within months.
I looked up some sites on this subject,
so far, it seems like I should try to make it circulate in circles and then have another one counter current.
maybe i'm making this too much a deal...
ahhhh live and learn
