Title: all-glass 300w heater - how do I tell if its working?
Post by: KLKelly on December 31, 2006, 08:31:33 AM
Just moved it over from another tank into my new 90G so I can move the fish over.

I can feel that it is heating but I'm not sure how to calibrate it.  With my other heaters I can turn the dial until the light turns out.

With the 90G it will be harder to go up and down notches to get it to the right temp.

I can't find instructions on Google - do you guys know if it should have a red light or advice on how to set it right?

Thanks.

Karrie

Just keeps adjusting it and watch your temperature until it hits the desired temp you need.  When you have it where you want, just leave it.

This is my second all glass heater to possibly malfunction on me.  The last one worked fine until one day my fish were struggling - temp was 86.

This heater is on its lowest setting and the tank is at 79-81.  It doesn't have a calibration button.  I have to be doing something wrong???
