Title: Eheim making too much noise
Post by: White Lightning on May 05, 2007, 09:38:43 AM
I am getting really frusterated! My eheim filter is making too much noise. It is only about eight monjths old and never used to make any noise at all. Now every five seconds it sounds exactly like when I first primed  it. ....a bubbly kinda sound. I know it's working fine but the noise is irritating the heck outta me. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this noise?

Make sure there isn't any air getting into the intake line.

Check your o rings for cracking or damage

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know what it was but I unhooked everything and then hooked it back up and now it is as quiet as it once was. Thank goodness.

Likely then your o ring might not have been seated properly and by disassembling and re-assembling it, you corrected the problem.
