Title: Another Alternate Light Source
Post by: Saltcreep on July 11, 2007, 02:07:50 PM
Hi all,

We have recently installed an IKEA kitchen at our cottage (nice stuff, BTW). I decided to put in some under cabinet lighting and bought this new stuff from IKEA they call DIODER. You get four 9" strips of white LEDs with the diodes spaced about an inch apart. They strips can be used singly or combined in any combination. A little pricey at $50 but we all know the advantages ( and disadvantages) of LEDS and based on the effect under the cupboards, I believe these would look awesome on a smaller tank. Maybe not as the prime source of light but as a sort of transition between daylight and moonlight. Would be easy to waterproof too.
