I am looking for some black melamime, if anyone has seen any please let me know the locations.

Melamine.  Are you looking for just the melamine material itself, or already pre-applied to boards, etc, ?

Looking for black (mel) shelving, basically what my stand is made of now (standard black stand) I am going to make a bulk head for my aquarium, the only stuff they had at HD was MDF with a stamped wood grain pattern not what I am looking for.

Black Melamine is hard to find in the box stores; mostly you'll find white Melamine.

"Melamine" is just the plastic-y coating on the boards, the wood itself may be chipboard (most likely), MDF, or plywood.  You CAN buy the sheets separately and glue them to whatever material you want, but that's a lot of work.

You can try Rona.  You won't find it at Crappy tire or Walmart.
