Title: 48" light question
Post by: Brine on September 19, 2007, 01:12:51 PM
I currently run two shop lights over my 90G. Four bulbs in all. Two are standard fluorescents and the other two are GE grow lights. All together that gives me 160 Watts over 90G. Not enough for my plants. Anyone have suggestions of which kind of bulb I might be able to find that I can just swap out. I guess what I want is a 48" high output bulb that can run in my existing fixture....if there is such a thing.

Nope.. high output bulbs need high output ballasts... and your strip light doesn't have them.

You could only upgrade to T6 bulbs... but they are costly and the gains won't be noticable.

Getting another double strip when they go on sale at Canadian Tire is a better way to spend the money
