before you purchase such an exspensive pump you should go onto REEFCENTRALS and check the ECOTECH forum for feedback. it'll help aid you before you purchase. some good reviews, some not so good.

I was also thinking of 2 vortex power head as an alternative
however the price was a bit of a deterrant,
in Canada J&l of Vancouver has them.......
if not mistaken at $399.00 per unit.

For me, besides the price, the disadvantage is that you cannot change direction.
