Title: Spikey Moss Pics
Post by: jrs on January 28, 2008, 11:34:23 PM
I started growing this spikey moss out and have not been very impressed so far.

It grows quickly but easily tangles and mats with itself.  Perhaps it is because I have it growing on a 45 degree angle piece of driftwood????  The other thing that I dont really like is that it is always pearling.  One might think that it would be neat but I find it distracting.

Once the weather gets warmer I could ship some up that way.

I have heard that the fronds can be tied or krazy glued to substrate to create a weird moss type of carpet.  I am a little sceptical because of its growth patterns and think that flame moss would work better but I may give it a try to see what happens.
