is there any waranty on these heaters? thanx
according to my friend Google, there's a one year warranty on Ebo Jager Heaters.
I had one die on me. I had no bill but contacted Ehiem and they replaced it for free.
Had to send it to them though.
how did you contacted them? email, phone?
If you bought it here and have receipt, you should be able to bring it back to the store.
I think I contacted them by email and had no receipt. http://www.eheim.com/base/eheim/inhalte/form_customer.html
i tried to emai lthem cuple times with 2 difrernts computers, but its telling me the page is not working...
does big als keep an history of your purchase in the system? i dont have the reciept :(
No harm in calling them and telling them you bought it there and see what can be done.
I had one 250 one die but its 2 years old... so in the garbage its going. It suprised me that such a high quality/good named heater died so fast.... Still had 2 others working well though.
Bruce.
I have heard of people have alot of problems with the Ebo Jager Heaters. Stoped working or heating runaway.
They sure have their share of problems.

Doesnt Eheim give 3 years warranty on Jaeger heater?
The thing is that every heater can fail. And having a lot more people that use Jaeger heaters will result in a lot more people having trouble with them - in absolute numbers. Interesting would be to know the relative failure rate ...

My box said 1 year I think and I checked the place I purchased them from and there web site stated 1 year. (The US manual shows a 3 year warrentee though interesting)

I'm not worried about the thermostates int eh jagger heaters as I don't use them. I have heater controllers on all my tanks. They sure are a great piece of mind.

guys, the reason why mine is broken is insane. you should see it, i dont have a pic or cam, but to describe it, its like if water went inside the wire and then open it here and there, orange and blue hires. The way i saw that is because i put my hand on it and got zapped big time!
