Title: Well, I bought a house...time for a fish room
Post by: Quatro on April 18, 2008, 04:57:02 PM
I just signed the last papers to confirm my house purchase.  Now I want to plan out a easy to maintain fish room.  I'll attach a pic but the 2nd bedroom is next to the utility room so I was planning on adding a laundry sink into the bedroom closet.  I need a plumber (Viz, I'm looking in your direction).  The plan is for 3 or 4 55/75gals and a wall of 10/20gals.  Any thoughts or websites to help?  Thanks

ME?!?  :o  Where the heck did you get the idea I was a plumber? :)

Seriously, I know next to nothing about plumbing...  The most I've ever done that would be sort-of related is connect my hose to the faucet and water the garden! ;)

As for the house plans, those look very interesting.  Master bedroom in the basement...  Well, you'll be nice and cool in the summer! :)

Congrats on the house, BTW!

If you're interested, you are welcome to come out to Cumberland and have a look at my setup. I have a dedicated fishroom in my basement with 23 tanks running on a central system(lot less fish these days! :(
I plumbed it all to work as a gravity feed into a sump and then plumbed the outlets for the feed into each tank. Tanks range from 10gals up to 135gals on three levels.
pm me if you're interested.

Nope.  The most he's ever done is change a washroom sink (which is better than I could do, probably!).  :)

Hey Quatro congrats on the pruchase! :) Maybe ask DPatte he has an awesome fishroom. If you ask nicely he just might let you visit... ;) Plus he just set-up a 150 to the mix.

That looks great. Sorry, I'm no good with plumbing, but I love that layout. A whole room just for fish is awesome. Congrats on the new house.
