Title: planting plants
Post by: stavieboy on April 05, 2005, 07:32:06 PM
Hey,

I recently got some plants and was woundering how to properly plant them(if there is a proper way).  My tank has gravel in it.  I found a spot for it near my filter and woundering if there's a problem there.

Thanks :P

Plant them wherever looks attractive. Generally taller plants at the back and smaller at the front - except for one or two 'centrepiece' decorative plants near the front for effect.

Some attention should also be made as to lighting. Are the plants near the lighting they need?

Thanks

but one more question.  Would there be a problem with the plant being close to the steam of water coming from the filter?

Dependingon the plant you have, some can be very happy with good stream, others prefer calm water.

Be sure and remove the "basket" and rockwool around the roots before planting!
