Title: What wood sealer is safe for fish?
Post by: Fishnut on July 03, 2008, 01:12:13 PM
I was wondering if there is such a thing as a varnish or wood sealer that is safe to use around the pond...without risk of toxins leaching from the varnish when it rains and drips into my pond.

I don't think there would be anything safer than good, old polyurethane (after curing). It basically dries to a 'plastic' finish. I know from experience that removing the stuff takes it's toll on whetever tools you are using; it is rock hard.
