I just bought a noma 400W Ups from canadian tire to run my koralia powerheads if the power goes out.
My dilema is that the manufacturing date on the ups is June 2007. Now I know that lead acid batteries are not supposed to be stored flat as sulfication will occur on the internal plates. There's even a sticker on the UPS itself that says charge every three months when in storage. Quick math tells you that the battery has been installed for 19 months. Do you guys/gals think that I should return this unit to canadian tire to get a new one or is the effect of storage minimal enough that I won't even notice the difference?
thanks
I asked hubby and he said it's fine, and the others most likely will be dated back as such. We have never had a problem with ours!
Thanks Nerine, ;D
I'll be able to sleep a little better now. 8)
