Title: custom isolation trap - how does a sponge filter work
Post by: Quatro on April 26, 2009, 12:17:01 AM
Hey,

I have been thinking about making my own isolation trap (like the floating breeder traps but larger and better).  I want to make sure that there is flow happening inside and was thinking of a setup like a sponge filter.  In the following picture, will water flow in the direction of the arrows or will it have no real effect?  Thanks

Yes it will work, Hagen used to have a HOB filter that ran on the same principle.

Thanks bergenm.  I figured it would but wanted to check.
